Please share a little info about yourself.

My name is Vincenza Cimino. I am a Program Dealer Specialist for TireHub, working with TireHub’s current and prospective Program Dealers. I cover a broad area, including the five New York City boroughs, three New York counties and northern New Jersey. I live in Long Island, NY with my dog Bella.

How long have you been a Hubber?

I started working at TireHub in November 2018.

How long have you been in the tire industry?

I have been in the tire business for 39 years this year, and I have enjoyed every day.

How did you get into this field?

I got into the tire business by accident. I was a hairdresser when my parents opened a tire store. I was helping them out part-time and fell in love with the business. I joined the business in 1983, I have never looked back nor regretted it for a moment. I consider myself blessed to be able to work at something I love.

What’s something you wish people knew about tires/the industry/etc.?

I wish more people understood how tires are made and the demand tires are under when being driven on. They are so well made and can endure all kinds of abuse.

Do you have a favorite customer interaction?

I enjoy the level of trust I develop with my customers the most. I’m not just there to make a sale, but to be a true business consultant, helping them achieve greater success. I have many years of experience in all areas of retail/wholesale sales in the tire industry, so when I can help a customer, it is very satisfying.

Describe your approach to providing exceptional customer service.

I always try to treat people as I would want to be treated. I put myself in their shoes to help them as best as I can. I always answer my phone, even if it is to say I need to call you back. There is nothing more frustrating for a customer than to not be able to reach their salesperson in a time of need.

How is TireHub different?

I was nervous at first coming to work for a large corporation after so many years of being self-employed. It was great to get such a warm welcome and help from my fellow Hubbers (employees) as a newbie. TireHub has a great culture. I have tried to pay that forward as new people are hired.

How would you describe life as a Hubber?

I truly love what I do! At times it’s hectic and fast paced, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. I think the TireHub culture is an awesome one, with a family feel. I enjoy meeting customer both new and old, and helping them grow their business.

What would you deem your greatest success since starting with TireHub?

The number of new accounts (both general wholesale and program dealer) I have opened. Also, being part of the Women in Leadership Hubber Resource Group and helping fellow Hubbers.
